BIOPOLYMERS

This project is an exploration application for 3D/4D printed biopolymers. The applications target high end, luxury food packaging where thermochromic polymers indicate when the food is at the most ideal consumable temperature. Colour changing prototypes were made to further qualify the research. Foaming polymers and shapeshifting memory polymers were also researched in this project, however not prototyped.

This work was completed as a Summer Scholarship research paper for the National Science Challenge Innovation Spearhead project. This work was awarded the Winner of Summer Scholarship Poster Competition for Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation.
