3D MODELING

Divine Decay

A series of expressive 3D printed designs that communicate the beauty in the life of nature over time, using lighting and digital creation to present a utopian narrative.

Maya Animation

These are both original works I created by playing with lighting, textures and bump maps. I have expressed the true character of objects in the first scene but paying attention to the imperfect details.

Blender Animation

To expand my skills across another 3D modelling program, I have begun experimenting in Blender.

J750 3D Printer

This funky model is made using the high tech J750 3D printer. This was made from multiple material densities to allow the movement as captured above. The model is printed to fit within a 2cm cube, however opens up to be twice this size.

Fusion Modeling for 3D Printing

Through these designs, I have explored the capabilities of a simple 3D UpBox printer. I have captured the interesting details that are created from the making. I have used a range of materials when rendering the images in Fusion.

Big ring, small ring, round ring. Perfect!

This is a collection of rings designed to fit my finger... but also to not. The round shapes express a theme of child's play. The ‘perfect’ ring was made from aluminium at ShapeWays in America, and the other two are made with the J750 3D printer.
